Looking for a professional dutch voiceover that sounds reliable, clear and convincing? Leave it to me to get your message across!
Recording and writing
I mainly specialise in voice-overs for corporate videos, news items and commercials, either working out of my own studio or on location. In addition to providing the voice for your communication, I can also help compose the text. After all, words that look good on paper don’t always sound good when read aloud. Drawing on years of experience as a marketeer and newsreader, I create texts that look great, sound superb and clearly communicate your message.
Stutter
It’s interesting to note that I used to stutter, and I sometimes still get stuck on the odd word. Yet from a young age, I enjoyed reading aloud. And when I do, the words flow freely. As a teenager, I liked to read the news for the deaf and hard of hearing aloud. I later progressed to reading out teletext messages, pretending that I was a newsreader. In 2006, I started work at the ANP news agency, and no longer had to pretend.

My aptitude for reading the news was revealed in 2006. To mark the 70th jubilee of their news radio service, the ANP news agency organised ‘ikwordnieuwslezer.nl’, a competition searching for promising newsreaders yet to get their break. I only entered at the last minute: I had no experience whatsoever, so didn’t think I had much chance. I was shocked to make the top-10 and to ultimately be picked as the best of more than 300 candidates. The members of the jury were: Arend Langenberg (newsreading icon and chair of the jury), Jeroen Overbeek (NOS news), Jeroen d’Hamecourt (ANP), Cees Manintveld (MultiVoice International Voice Agency) and Hannelore Zwitserlood (newsreader and presenter, e.g. on Q-Music).
Following the competition, I started work as a part-time newsreader at ANP. More than a decade later, I still enjoy working at the news agency and now also work for a range of other clients.
